Marlys loves creating tea-infused recipes to share with family and friends. Discovering new flavor combinations and ways to incorporate tea provide an ongoing challenge she relishes.
Alan spent more than 12 years as a barista and café manager, making more than a half-million drinks. While much of that was coffee, he’s always had a passion for tea, and one year was #3 in the country for tea sales (out of 600+ cafés). When he lost his job in 2009, he and Marlys set out to fulfill his dream of having a private line of tea. They chose the brand name Adventures with Tea to emphasize that it doesn’t have to be like the plain, boring tea people remember from Grandma’s house … it’s fun and funky, in addition to being tasty and healthy.
